Since i spend an awful long time in front of my computer, i thought it's about time i purchased a decent chair. The current one is a fairly cheap ( about £50 ) leather chair. It does recline if you lean back with a bit of effort, but doesn't stay in that position. So i'm looking for any recommendations...

1 High Back Leather
2 Adjustable ie must recline and stay in that position
3 sub £150

This one looks quite nice, maybe some of you own one ( or something similar )

Cheers

only "real life" pic I have of it:

It is 3 years old and still really comfy! The slightly padded arm rests are a bonus too.

I think your just going to have to go from store to store, and sit in lots if different ones.

no two asses, ass's(spelling) are the same LOL

I like my Ikea Markus - it's good if you are a bigger person. Not quite as padded as other high backed chairs, but still comfortable.

http://www.furnitureatwork.co.uk As 300 odd customers reviews say "AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!" ... They say they have your item in stock but really it will take 6-8weeks or you might not get it at all.

I was going to order from them a month ago but a good friend warned me about them, showed me a Review centre review saying they was pants.

Since then i ordered 2 chairs (Serene & Darcy) from Staples.. In hindsight lock tilt function would have been nice to have though im still a happy bunny :)

Picked up a lovely leather chair in Staples half price (£200 down to £100) about 10 days ago. Really soft high quality leather and really well padded in key areas with great lumbar and central seat area in particular.

Also has leather padded arms.

Very good seat for £100.

as on previous threads, these have been recommended (in no order):

Ikea Markus
Orangebox Chairs
Humanscale Chairs
Herman Miller (dear though!)
Giroflex
Steelcase Chairs

I got myself one of these awhile back and haven't looked back since, i use to get them cheap Argos ones at 30 quid but they didn't last that long, but this one is very durable.

Hope it is ok to post this link.

Can fully recommend this chair, been using it for the good part of one and a half years and so comfortable, plus the breathable back is incredible. Comfort wise very good.
