Magnificent seven (boxing)

I'm watching the Enzo fight now, a fight that most certainly wasn't stopped early enough, the fight before wasn't finished early enough, look how bad Enzo is, he was wobbly, very very bad, he got up but it shouldn't have gone on and he's in terrible shape afterwards, what 5 minutes later when they let him up he could barely stand , well he couldn't stand himself.

Safety first, bumfights if you just want to see people hurt.

The Enzo knockout was brutal, I'm glad he made his way to his feet under his own steam, but he could easily have been on the way to the hospital in the back of an ambulance after that. Poor showing from the referee, he is there to protect the fighters (sometimes from themselves) and that fight should have been stopped after the fight knockdown. Also gutted for Enzo as I felt up until that point he was putting on the very good showing, shame.

Typical Frank Warren rubbish to be honest. All of Warren's boxers were awarded early/dubious stoppages but when Enzo, a Warren promoted boxer, gets his clock cleaned the ref seemed reluctant to stop the fight.

British boxing is in a shocking state, no wonder the UFC/MMA has gained so much popularity recently.

Exactly my thoughts. I am getting bored of boxing although the Haye - Harrison fight still interests me. I love watching UFC and cant wait for 119

Then you sir are part of the problem with boxing :p

The reason the BIG fights don't happen is fighters know fans will watch any old garbage and so there is no incentive to go after the main threats.

If Haye was going to get zero fans watching the Harrison fight then he would have signed up to fight one of the Klitschkos by now. The reason he doesn't is because he knows people will watch him fight tomato cans :p

As fans we are forced to watch what we are given! There is so little in the way of decent, competitive boxing matches on UK TV.

The UFC manages to put an event on every month comprising of five competitive and somewhat unpredictable fights. We're lucky if we get three decent boxing matches a year!

NO, as fans we should be looking out for the best interest of the sport. Refusing to pay for mismatches is exactly what will hurt the sport in the short term but show the promoters we simply wont put up with rubbish cards no more.
