Hey guys,

My father has just bought a new pc and I have encoded all his music in FLAC for him on there. He is using an M-Audio soundcard.

Now his problem is that he has very limited space in his office, and needs a good pair of wall mounted speakers. He has an old Cyrus 3 amp that he wants to hook upto the pc but would like to still do the system justice with some good wall mounted speakers. Any ideas? (having speakers on stands/desk is not an option due to space)

Just get some decent bookshelf speakers and buy some wall mounts.

Make sure the speakers are front ported though or they might sound a bit boomey

This is quite true. However, you can 'bung' the ports or rear ported speakers with socks or foam which works quite well.

But yes, front ported is better.

The Q Acoustics 2010 have the neatest and best wall mounting I've seen. They're rear ported but aren't fussy being near the wall, they've been designed to use it to their advantage. Very good speakers for the money :)

This link shows the bottom of the speaker where the connectors are. The bracket has a plate that covers the whole lot perfectly so you can't see any connections.
