I have had to mount the cooler so the fan is pulling air though it. My ram is in the way when trying to mount the fan on the other side to blow. Will this make much a difference to my temps?

The clips dont really allow for very much movement. Only thing I can think of is to maybe raise it up and fit it with cable ties. Air will likely not be passed over the bottom few fins though.

Give your idea a try, and see if its any better, if not go back to how you had it, only testing will tell though.

And missing the bottom few fins won't be to big an issue i think.

Missing a few fins at the bottom will be fine, i had to do something similair with an arctic freezer pro, had to bend a few fins and raise the fan up as they clashed with the heatsinks on the p5q deluxe board i was using.

ive been wondering about getting one of these for my MA770-UD3 board, I only have hyperX 1066 ram, standard size. Anyone know if it will fit over the ram?

OP - if you remove the heatsink from your ram, can you let me know if it fits?

You shouldnt have a problem, I removed the top fins from the one ram stick closest to the cooler and the fan now fits above it.

Idling temps are now 25-30C, Full load barely hits 50C. Really have to put some research into overclocking now.
