Played squash for the first time for a year the other day and my forearm's took a beating. I've got a chin/pull up bar that can be used on the floor too, so what can I do with this and/or with anything else to specifically improve forearm strength?

Get a garage project and get spannering :D

Or alternatively take up some serious DIY.

Either of those will put some serious strength into your hands.

Chins aye, I'm so **** at chins. I've tried getting better to no avail. Lost all my upper body strength since I stopped climbing.

Have a look at http://www.fiftypullups.com/.

On this note, can anyone recommend a chin up bar? A few I've tried never seem to stay up properly.

Just thought I'd update this..I did get the Iron Gym, and can fit it on only one door in my house :p.

Any way, I basically told myself that I'd do 3 chin ups every time I went past it, and I've been good to that so far. I'm now up to being able to do 10 before failure, which isn't as strong as I used to be but it's a damned sight better then recently :).

Hammers curls are good as mentioned. I love farmers grips is it?

Anyway i stand up gripping a heavy plate in each hand, until i can't tolerate no more.

Works great for me, my grip strength in lifts has always hampered things, now it's made quite a difference.
