I have been trying to get a job in a kitchen so I can begin my chefs scholarship, I have been trying for months and months with no luck. Then in 24hrs I get offered 3 jobs.
Now I am an atheist and I have the most plain view on life imaginable, you're born, you live, you die. But at times like this I can't help feeling like life is some sort of test, or some reality show for another planet to enjoy. Like maybe what job I choose will change whether I can progress to level 2 or something. Misc do you think life is just you live and you die? or do you think this is just a test or we are someone else's entertainment?

Heh, sometimes feels like that I'm sure we've all had weird situations akin to what you're saying.

However don't forget we're designed to look for patterns where sometimes there is none. There's nothing but coincidence that you had 3 offers at the same time.

Good luck btw! ;)

I know that I could be looking for things that aren't there, but certain things just make you wonder...

And thanks :)

The Chinese do not believe in coincidence.

In Soviet Russia the London buses give three jobs out...oh forget it.

lol just when you think the whole In Soviet Russia line works every time, you find.....it doesn't.

:D

I think you test yourself, and see things like today being given 3 jobs as some sort of outer-influence which pushes you and rewards you, when in fact its you and your brain not believing in yourself enough.

Do you know what's odd about coincidences that give rise to phrases such as "you wait ages for a bus then three come along at once", they are the only time we mentally take note of that interesting coincidence.

It *could* be that we are a cosmic plaything, more likely is that in fact a complex set of variables for everything that happens.. ever.. plays out, and sometimes we see a pattern and make a link, then apply a very generic simile to describe the situation.

Funny thing perception, it utterly shapes who we are (philosophically speaking what technically goes on around us matters not a jot, it is the way we perceive the occurrence that is important to us) and every-bodies is different, yet similar enough that we can "compare notes" and draw conclusions en-mass.
