Chris Moyles rant about not being paid.

Didn't hear it myself as I don't listen to his show, due to thinking he's a complete .......!

If he has such a problem with it, he could do me a favour, and possibly others and leave?!

Surely he can afford to go with out 2 months pay, not as though he isn't already paid enough.

Ranting on about it live on air probably isn't the best way to get it resolved though.

Whether he can afford to go without pay is irrelevant. Fact is, he's doing his job and should be getting paid the agreed amount of it, regardless of what job he's doing.

He earns a hell of a lot more than I do, and I'm pretty sure he wouldn't even go near my job, like most people, but I can still say with absolute conviction that if you do the work, you should get paid for it.

sure, as long as you can do the same.
tbh I'm on WAY less than him, hell I'm on less than the average wage. but I can sympathise as I've been in the situation of not being paid for two months+ before.

time to get off that high horse of yours dude.

To sum this thread up:

Guy 1 says: "CM is fat, overpaid and rubbish. He's rich; who cares?"
Guy 2 says: "Just because he's odious it doesn't mean he shouldn't be paid."

Repeat for 7 pages!

I agree with the point of his rants but thought the way he went about showing his displeasure was childish and unprofessional.

He certainly seemed a lot chirpier this morning, so he's either been given a testicling or a bank transfer!

So he gets paid 500k a year and only works 3.5 hours a day? And decided to use 30mins of his show to moan about his wages not being paid for 2 months.

He's getting paid around £225 for that little rant . The BBC should deduct that 30 mins from his wages.

£225- Would he really miss it? :p

Hardly a punishment!: they should demote him to reading the weather and call it the Dominic Byrne show- that would hurt him :D

correction
he's only on air 3.5 hours a day.
the team have to script the show for tomorrow etc etc etc so it's more than 3.5 hours a day.

not to forget when they get together to record the voiceover stuff for the podcasts, do the photos with guests etc..

Theres all the additional content online which has to be done. Not to mention production meetings where they decide what to do and who to invite.

And there will be meetings with management about viewing figures and approval ratings and stuff...

Granted its not a 9-5 job, but its hardly working 3.5 hours a day. Most of the other DJs only do a 3 hour show !

If Moyles is paid £500k, his take home is nearly half that at £260k. Some footballers will earn that in a couple of months... Why not take aim at some of the perennial under achievers in football who earn stupid amounts, rather than someone who hosts the flagship breakfast show on a national radio station?

Football Clubs are not funded by Taxes.

To earn that amount of money as a footballer you have to perform.

Chris Moyles has been a rotting corpse on the beach of radio broacasting for a decade and the stench isnt getting any better.
