A handyman who planted child pornography on his boss's computer in a bid to get promoted has been jailed.

Neil Weiner, 40, hatched the "wickedly evil and vile plot" to get caretaker Eddie Thompson sacked from Swanlea Secondary School in east London.

Weiner, a married father of two from Dagenham, sent police a CD containing 177 indecent images of children.

He was jailed for 12 years for perverting the course of justice and possessing indecent images of children.

Essentially the chap wanted a promotion, so decided to plant child porn on his boss's computer, and then contact the police. What a vile, wicked man. I must admit though, I read that and thought 'Damn, he must have taken GD a little too seriously". :p

One can't help but feel sorry for the poor bloke he targeted. Branded a paedophile and shunned at work and in your community, all because of some idiot's scheme to get you sacked. Ouch.

12 years for framing someone is not bad considering you get 4 years for murder.

It was the possession of indecent images of children that clinched it. He was also placed on the sex offenders' register despite the court acknowledging that he was unlikely to be a paedophile himself, rather just a horrible **** who wanted to frame someone else.

There may be bummings ahead
But while there's moonlight and music
And love and romance
Let's face the music and dance

Indeed. One can't help but wonder just what he's let himself in for. Talk about reaping what you sow... :o

Indeed. He will be a Cat A or B for quite a while and will have to wait a long time before he s considered for Cat d if indeed they consider him suitable. He will have to serve about 2/3 of his sentence given it is over 4 years that he has been sentenced to.

The victim states he still gets shunned by people at work etc.... Just goes to show you, when it comes to sex crimes, people still believe "no smoke without fire" which reinforces my opinion of complete anonymity unless proven guilty (anonymity remains if not guilty)
