When is the 6xxx out?

on the pricing front i do agree that they will be more expensive, its of course just a question of how much, my guess....at launch which will allow them to drop by £25 after a couple of months.

£199 for the 6770

£299 for the 6850

£399 for the 6870

So... if the 6xxx series come out in October, and if it means the 5850 will drop in price... This would be a good time to sell the 5850 right... :P

yes

no one will be buying a 5870 @ £220 in MM if the 6850 is faster and cheaper.

Now is the time for the easy shuffle:D

got £247 for mine at auction a couple of days ago, auction charges wer just over £33 though  and after posting it i was left with £205

Doesn't surprise me. I recently sold an expensive guitar on there and told the person who was interested (had it on buy it now or best offer) that I'd give him a much better deal if we went off ebay. If he wanted on ebay, it'd be at least £100 more to cover the charges :P

Haven't really sold much on ebay in a while now... :/

Precisely the reason I avoid auctions now.. it's such a damn rip off just to sell something. Also note: Enforced use of paypal, which lines the pockets of the owning company even more!

It honestly isn't worth selling anything on that place anymore. I'd rather sell my old stuff to members here at a discounted price.

I'm kinda meh about the 6xxx series as I know it won't be anything special, but it will be nice to see quite how their changes affect performance over a range of games.

EDIT: Sircanelot, remove the refs to the auction site bud... against the rules as it's a competitor.

the only way i would buy a 6870 is if it there is a good performance gain from my 5870 and if they don't charge stupid premiums for it oh and only if it beats the 480 :p

199.98 ;)

£200 for that card is still good value but I'd expect that sort of price for the 5850 when 6xxx apperars ...or even lower.
