ARRRGH Thermalright ultra 120

LOL I had heaps of hassles the first time I had to install one. But in the end it just went in easy peasy. True I had just come back from a good lunch and was pretty relaxed. :D

The funny thing is the official guide is spot on how to install it. The trick is finding that perfect point to pivot on.

It's like a magic trick trying to get this thing in, and I'm no magician :(

The best thing is to get hold of the later AMD swivel clip, but I cannot find it anywhere. Any links are welcomed.

It is a little difficult, but as the second poster said, it just seems to fit eventually, do it outside the case.

Once in and tightened up, it is a very good cooling solution.

Looking at the photographs, my fan support springs are installed wrong, ah well should have read the instructions.

Yeah very good point about doing it outside the case. That makes life so much easier.

this is ******* ridiculous!

I still think having a pint before fitting that clip is the answer. Well done mate pleased you got it in the end.

I did it, what a ****ing stupid mounting bracket

Although mine has been fitted sometime, your post has led me to buying a revision 2 clip (from Florida would you believe). I would like to turn it 90 degrees into the airflow and I need to refit the fan anyway.

Glad you got it fitted, it is a very good heatsink.

andy.

How much did that set you back? I would like to rotate it as well.

Lol ellingham! . . . it's not that hard . . . just have a bit of "patience" :D
