Earlier this week, anti-piracy lawyers ACS:Law had their website taken down by a 4chan DDoS attack. Adding insult to injury, owner Andrew Crossley was harassed at home in the middle of the night by prank phone calls. Now, through a fault with his website, hundreds of megabytes of private emails have been exposed to the public and uploaded to The Pirate Bay. To those hoping that this is a MediaDefender-type fiasco all over again, trust us – it is.

Wow

How arrogant are his e-mails to which?

Thinking he can threaten and bully the UK press the same way he does individuals. Got what's coming to him i say.

It's interesting that they dont target Virgin Media customers when Branson stated he is fully behind Anti-Piracy laws.

There's nothing wrong with expecting payment for your music or software.

However scum like this lawyer that send out emails to innocents should be disbarred and put in jail.

Yeah I wasn't promoting the Piracy, It just seems odd that this muppet refuses to target VM customers, when he and Branson are on the same side.

Richard Branson has less to do with Virgin Media than you might think.
It appears that VM saw straight through his act and refused to be buddy-buddy with a quasi legal highway robber.

Brilliant news, though I'm not sure of the legal stance of owning and reading through someone else private correspondence, even if the original owner is an asshat.

It actually breaks a lot of laws. I'm certain that behind the scenes it's being investigated and that in due time both arrests and charges would be brought if the individuals are in the UK.
Just because it's 'in the public good' it's not going to prevent the RIAA et al from lobbying the legal system harder or that the legal system will be nice to the individual. They'll view it as breaking X laws, with Y implications = sentence Z.

Someone should do the pirate lovers back.

Guy above has a point. The 4chan Anonymous group only started this after an Anti-Piracy group acting on behalf of a large media producer admitted using DDoS attacks on tracking servers that refused to adhere to their letters.
