Hi Guys,

Just upgraded my my graphics card (from X1900 to Asus GTX 460, 768Mb)

I plugged in the new GTX 460 tried to boot up and I dont get anything on screen.

All the fans etc. come on and I get one long beep and three short beeps.

  • Windows XP
  • Motherboard= Asus P5W DH
  • Processor= Intel Core2 6400 2.13Ghz
  • Power Supply = Tagan EasyCon 580w (And I have it in combined mode, but have tried split)
  • Ram= 2 Gig
  • Graphics= Asus GTX 460, 768Mb
  • Monitor = 22" 1680 x 1050

I have noticed that the graphics card has two 6 pin power sockets, I have tried my power supply in both and it is both the same, should I have power going into both of them.

I have taken the card out and reseated it and it is still the same.

Have I missed anything out of the equation?

Please help as I am dying to play F1 2010!!

Many thanks

Matt

Aye, you need both plugged in. :p

If your psu only has one 6pin pci-e plug then you can use the molex to pci-e adapter supplied with the graphics card.
