Hey guys, gonna be purhchasing a gtx 465 for around the 130 pounds mark and I see the coolermaster gx 650w for 60 pounds, as anyone had any experiences with these power supplies as I might even purchase the 750w version for 70 pounds, thanks all

I've been using a Coolermaster iGreen 650w PSU for 3 years, maybe a little more... Discontinued afaik

Silent, stable, loads of connectors. I've used it in loads of configurations of hardware. Always been 100%. Currently powering a Q6600 @ 3.2, 4GB RAM, 5850 (sometimes clocked 850/1150, mostly stock) and 3 hard drives...

I'd defiantly consider a CM PSU again, though read some reviews first :)

Ah k thanks mate I just read a review from hardware secrets (I hope this is not a competitior) "noise level at +3.3 V and +5VSB outputs were above the maximum allowed when we pulled 600 W and above from this unit. High noise levels overload and can even damage components on your computer." which made them say as conclusion "but it is only safe to run this new Cooler Master unit up to 450 W." I doubt they are talking about sound noise? or are they, buying a 750 w power supply when it is only safe to run at 450 w is a bit strange however this is only one review, would like to hear other's opinion?

OP, what's wrong with the Corsair TX650 in your sig?
the only good coolermaster psu are the silent pro range and gold.
The Silent Pro does get a good review (see here) + its modular with some nice flat cables.

For the GTX 465 you can get away with the 500W unit (this).

GX is cheap group regulated design with even cheaper Chinese crap capacitors.

That's not review and barely even preview.
Not a single look inside to components, nothing about voltage regulation or ripple.
And CM's tradition is having sometimes maybe few quality capacitors while most are some random cheap brand.
