Some time ago my wife took her car into BMW Sheffield for a service. They told her she needs new discs and pads which I thought was a little strange as the car was only on around 38k and under 3 years old.
They also told her that her the rear tyres need to be replaced which again I thought was very strange as I know I replaced them around 8k miles ago.
I was in Prague at the time so I told her to get the discs and pads done but I will sort out the tyre myself. The dealer seems to try and frighten her and told her to be very careful when driving and not to use the motorway.
I checked the tyres and they seem fine, I have done another 6k miles on them and the car just passed its MOT without even an advisory on the tyres. Im beginning to feel that they just tried to con her into buying new tyres and possible even the discs and pads
Has anyone ever experienced this sort of thing from a BMW dealer?
EDIT, forgot to say its a shame because my wife bought a brand new E90 from them back in 05 and I would have bought another car from them at some point in time if it was not for this.
