Cleaned car - got film on windows now!

More or less new to this car malarky. I cleaned my car today for the first time, just used Simoniz wash & wax on the outside, back to black on the bumper, and dashboard shine on the inside.

It looked nice and shiny in the daylight. Jump in the car tonight, all the windows have a film which seems to be both inside and out. Rubbing with a cloth just smeared it. After two going overs with household glass cleaner and a clean cloth it seems a bit better - but only when I buff with a seperate clean cloth does the "film" become less present.

In a word: HELP!

Or use vinegar with newspaper.

You could try a proper glass cleaner, like Autoglym Fast Glass.

I use stoner invisible glass cleaner and it looks great, apply with an MF and then use Newspaper to wipe off. Gonna go for some Gtechniq glass polish and then some of their clearvision stuff soon as its supposed to be the muts nuts.

soz but i have some valeters glass cleaner that beats it.

tar and glue remover should do the trick of removing any product from the screen.

If you dont have any of that, try white spirits / CPU cleaner / pure alcohol
