Im thinking of planning an epic european road trip taking in France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Italy and Switzerland :)

Just a quick question about Visa's, which I have no idea how they work or anything.

Will i need them for spending a 1 day-1 week in each country?

Cheers,
Dan

If you're an EU citizen then you do not require a visa to visit any of those countries.
All but two (Croatia and Ukraine) are in Schengen anyway so you can cross the borders freely.

I would think twice about taking a car into Ukraine though, and make sure your insurance covers it if you do go as it could well be one of the countries excluded.

In E.U countries you should need to do nothing, that's one of the benifits, just bring your passport along, for others, not sure!

Speak to the cab?

Or look on the foreign office websites.

Why think twice about taking a car into ukraine?

If my insurance wouldnt cover it, what would be the best way to get insurance for it?

I spent a day in Ukraine last week. Things have improved considerably since my last visit. Border guards are still willing to accept a £10 note in your passport for hassle free access. Beautiful country in a sad way. Needless to say the girls are sensational. Even my girlfriend who was with me said so. We always visit Ivano-Frankivsk or Kiev.
