Question: What makes us to be competitive?

It all comes down to sex.

We're competitive because we want to get laid.
Pretty much all animals are.

To prove our skills and worth, so we may have a chance to pass on our genes.

genes, of the billions of generations that it took us to evolve any that were not competitive died out...

I would guess competitiveness jsut moves sideways in some people away from breeding towards things that dont help re-producing.

There is always a sexual element to competition between people, between people of certain gender competing over a er..'mate'.

But more generally, we are compared by 'society at large' to our peers from pretty much day 1 of our existence. This drives our own desire to be judged superior to said peers.

Is this what drives pro-gamers then? Because I've got terrible news for them.

ehheh :p
