FIFA 11 on PC to use next-gen engine

There doesn't seem to be any reviews on the pc version yet, 3 days to go before release, I think it's always suspicious this close to release when there isn't any reviews out for a game. There are a few reviews out for the console version.

What are they trying to hide from us prior to the release of the game :(

I was just about to edit my post to say that it looks like they've reviewed the console version there, but it does say "PC | Xbox 360 | PlayStation 3 | Wii".

Obviously they haven't worked out that the PC version is going to be different!

I've spent quite a while playing both the PC demos and have decided to pre-order Fifa 2011 as it just feels so much more responsive and polished. Having always purchased and playing PES games before this is a big change for me, but I still can't get over how bad PES 09/10 was. I think PES will be the best next year, once they have some more time to tweak and polish the current engine.

Even if Fifa 2011 is a polished version of 2010, I never had it on the console and it still feels the best to me.

Also thanks for the V-sync tip, helped a lot!

Aye, what a ridiculous review.

It would be nice of him to mention what platform it was.

100% though it was either the 360 or ps3 :D

Will we ever see a review of the PC version? It doesn't seem like (m)any of these gaming review sites have even cottoned on yet that it's different on the PC...

Regardless, I'll buy the PC version as it's still the best football game available on the platform. Played quite a lot of the PES 2011 demo and it just feels 'clunky' in comparison.

Wait for PC Gamer and the ilk I guess - doubt the normal sites will deal with it any other way than a multi-plat...

ps3ud0

Someone needs to remake Soccer Brawl but for PC, with awesome Arkham Asylum style slo-mo tackle effects.

Loads of the lads at work getting this but im not sure what all the hype is about..

I played a few of the fifa games on xbox, and could never really tell much difference between each one, other than ofc better graphics and "more realistic" movements/actions..

Basically it felt like they were just releasing an updated version every year which feels more like an expansion pack or DLC... if you could, sell the game to me? im genuinely interested in getting into it but i think i need converting! ^^

Just received my copy. Played a few games online and that seems all good, well at least when you get a good host. Although I am not very good and seem to take a battering every game.

sorry to say it but this game is not good it has the graphics of fifa 10 but for me still has that horrible floaty unsolid (hard to describe) and too fast feel of very old fifa games

You think EA would be sending pc copies to these informed websites like IGN to get reviewed.

Hmmm.

Why would you think that?

They're going to do exactly the opposite and hope as many people as possible mistakenly buy it on PC thinking it the equal of the consoles.

FIFA 11 on the PC is just a next-gen FIFA 10 from the console. I will add that they've definitely tweaked it a bit. Having played a lot of 10 on the 360, I'm noticing differences here and there, for the better.

To those having to put up with the lackluster PES on the PC, FIFA 11 will be a godsend. It's really, really good. FIFA 10 in the first place was never a bad game.

As for the console version, I've only played the demo but they've added a bunch of stuff not avaliable in the PC version. Gameplay is also slightly different and I'd go as far as saying it's the best football game ever made over every platform.

If you're on a PC, FIFA 11 is the way to go. People will moan that they've only made a half-hearted attempt ('cause it's missing stuff from the console version), but even so, it's still the best PC football game avaliable.

FIFA 11 on the console is going to be the ultimate football game. Maybe the PC will recieve console features in patches or in FIFA 12?

Are you playing it with manual controls and the pace on slow? Makes a whole load of difference
