Need some verification if this is a scam...pretty sure it is and seeing as i'm absolutely exhausted, I almost got caught out by it.
Sold an item on eBay yesterday, sent a payment invoice straight away. Received an email from the guy and hour later asking for my Paypal address so he can pay me. I reply saying i've already sent an invoice and will send another.
He emails me this morning stating that he needs my Paypal email address as he's not getting anything from ebay, I send it to him.
I've got back from work now to the following email:
Hi Seller,
I have made the payment and paypal sent me mail that your money have been deducted from my paypal account and it will be credited into your account as soon as you send them the shipping information(tracking number) to them.As you can see that my money is under pending in paypal cos they are waiting for you to send the prove of shipment.Kindly get the item shipped now via royal mail first class to my frend as a BITHRHDAY GIFT and get back to paypal with the shipping proof and your account will be credited insantanly...Do get back to me as soon as you get the item shipped..

Had some pretty realistic looking emails supposedly from Paypal claiming the funds are frozen and once I enter a tracking number, they will be released. I think to myself that's a new one, so log in and can't find any trace of a payment, frozen or otherwise sent to my account.
He's sent two more emails this afternoon asking why it hasn't been sent and where is the tracking number.
The final thing i've just spotted...the received from email on every email is [email protected]
Just put my mind at ease and let me know this is a scam email before I plan a little revenge on the guy
