I know I started another thread about refurbishing my alloys but I had some suggestions in there about getting different alloys. So looked around and found 3 places I can get alloys from that will be slightly less than getting my originals refurbished. Here are the 3 places:

Alloy Place 1

Alloy Place 2

Alloy Place 3

Also did some photoshops to give an idea of what they will be like. I'm liking the all silver ones (Second Pic).

So guys what do you think keep the originals or change for these?

All far too small mate, keep your standard ones if you want 15" wheels...

I have 17" Audi TT ones on mine now, had newish michellin tyres, paid 150 quid and the wheels had just been refurbed too.

I sold my Audi TT 16" ones (as per sig) for 180 with knackered tyres however immaculate wheels, but you can get these with tyres and in very good nick for 100 quid on the bay, pistonheads and some owners forums! Well worth a look.

Would look a bit like this:

Nice cheap upgrade.

Is it only me who hates those alloy wheels with ~12 Holes that claim to be "Universal Fit" - they just look so cheap and rubbish with 4/5 out of 12 holes with bolts in :(

I thought it was the law that if you had a Golf you need to show the world you wish you could have had an Audi instead by fitting Audi wheels to it - every Golf ever has them :D

Quoted for truth.

We're fitting BMW wheels nowadays too :)

Nope, I can't stand it either. Chap at work has got a set of Wolfrace Pro Sprint alloys (black with polished face) on his orange Fiat Brava, fitted with some random Admiral tyres. They are worth more than the car and even better they were purchased on a store card. Without trawling the interwebs do Wolfrace make any decent alloy wheels or are they all geared to the chav section of the market? All this thread has done is made me realise just how badly I could use some new alloys, the standard ones are comically bad :(

I think its for every car.

I see endless BMWs with the M wheels. Golfs with Audi wheels. Golfs with R wheels.

Standard is much better in my opinion.
