Hi folks,

Im wanting to put my freelance business on Facebook but am not sure how to go about this.

Ive seen a lot of companies creating user accounts so that they appear like normal people, can send and receive messages and such like but Id also read that wasnt the best way to do things.

I'd like people to be able to obviously communicate via messages and wouldnt like to just create a fan style page where it lists me as the "person behind" things as I have a lot of family, personal style stuff on my own Facebook page and although not anything I am ashamed of, its not really something Id like prospective clients to look at if I am the page creator etc.

What would you recommend ?

Thanks

Ri

Some friends of mine run a small recruitment company and they use FB, Twitter etc.

They initially set it up as a group. Then they changed it to a whole account. You can do a lot more with a whole account it is certainly what I would do if it was me. :)

Got links if you want to see both.

That would be great thanks.

The ability for people to message me regarding business would be great but I havent found anyting explaining how to do it without creating a personal account for my biz and giving it a close name.

Thanks fella, went round and round thinking of stuff to get it going and decided to play it safe and went for an official page for it.

Ideally would have liked a user account so I could under the name of the company write messages, leave comments and such like but hey - this will do :)

THanks for your help mate :)
