Best way to reduce 300+ photo's in size

Hey chaps, got 300+ wedding photos on a DVD. i want to email some out to people and know ways of reducing sizes and so on. but does anyone know of a free tool/proggy that will allow me to mass reduce they for email. some files are 20mb each and clearly a little to large

picasa is free can you can multi select and re-size / quality etc..

if you have outlook or gmail you can also just highlight the files and email them it will re-size them as they are attached..

Irfanview is another freeby that can do a bulk resize.

Download a trial of Lightroom 3 > import them all > export them all at a smaller size (I usually go for 720 px on the long edge of the photo)

Photoshop but it sounds to me like you don't have such software. Perhaps adobes packages could be a little overkill for the one job.
