Friend upgrading his CPU

Okay my friend has the option of upgrading his dual core processor to a q9550 that I am upgrading from for £50?

or upgrade his complete kit.

Current specs of his are:

8Gb DDR2 1000Mhz
a x38 i think motherboard
asus 5850
850w psu

He's not getting the Q9550 for £50 but he is getting a great price for his dual core. What he will get for his cpu + £50 will buy him this.

But that is a fairly good upgrade tbh. Will have a pretty capable machine their.

Exactly. Don't think any Core2Duo CPU actually worth more than £100 2nd hand. Getting a 9550 for less than £150=bargin.
