Hi I brought the Titan gamer extreme PC about 18 months ago whilst a good PC the crossfire graphics cards have been a pain when I want to run games. So can you tell me if this graphics card will fit my motherboard please.

also suggestions of other graphics cards of around the same price which may be better would be nice thank you

Holly Molly you'r running two 8750's???

Is that AMD experimental desings or something?

How on earth did you get hold of those bad boys?

6000 series isnt out yet.....

Think the chap means 5750's lol, and they are ****e for gaming on high end. What budget gave you got/what size monitor/what games do you play :)

The 5770 would be compatible with your board, i think you must mean 4750s, i don't think 5750s were out 18 months ago, and a 5770 would be a downgrade from crossfire 5750s anyway.

yep sorry obviously having a bad day yesterday they are 4850's

the games I try to play are (and no laughing)
Live for speed
Need for speed Shift
Tomb Raider
& Microsoft train sim

2x 4850 shouldn't be that bad the VRAM might hold you back a bit but the drivers are pretty mature for these cards now so you shouldn't have any problem. Judging by the types of games any slow down your getting is down to the types of games you play (simulations and sandbox style) so it will be your CPU that's holding you back and you should look at overclocking for a cheap and free performance boost.

the problem i seem to be having is the games crash if I un-enable crossfire in the catalyst control centre then the games play fine and i am running the latest drivers

That might be a temp issue, the HD4850's with the single slot cooler run really hot and put them in crossfire and their even hotter but with multiple video cards your always running the risk of stability issues hence why I always get a single fast card.

Now the Radeon HD 5770 you linked to is a very good card and is a direct replacement for the HD4870 so it won't be able to match 2x HD4850's in crossfire (when working). For the money you might also want to consider a GTX470 768mb or if you really want to push the boat out the HD5850 however I suggest you hold your horses as the 6000 series is out next month so wait and see what that brings.

thank you for your help I think it may be more stability than temp if the catalyst control panel is to be believed. I know when need for speed shift came out there were lots of problems with crossfire so I want to do the same as you and get a single fast card. Looks like i'd better save my pennies and see what next month brings
