All in, I have no idea how this is poor customer service on their behalf

Surely it would have been much worse customer serveice

I laughed when Sony told me it would cost £65 to repair a £70 camera.

Why take it back, if you caused the damage? :confused:

Because I'm a dirty chav scum who thought it may get fixed for free because it was still under guarantee and I didn't argue with the verdict.

Are you going to ask us for our favourite Barry Manilow record at the bottom of this thread as well for even more totally unrelated question?

IT IS A RELATED QUESTION and ARGOS and Sony gave me fair Customer Service however I laughed when Sony told me the price which I am allowed to do.

AND YES I KNOW WHY IT COSTS SO MUCH BECAUSE I WAS IN MANUFACTURING FOR A TOTAL OF 33 YEARS.

I am allowed to laugh and to keep the thread going I asked for peoples ridiculous Customer Service stories.
I have not changed the OP.
 
So if you dont feel there was any ridiculous customer services why did you ask for peoples ridiculous customer service stories? Would it not have made sense to ask for peoples.... high repair cost stories or something?

However I wanted stories on ridiculous Customer Service but it can also turn into your suggestion.

Nobody ever asks a totally unrelated question after posting a story on an internet forum. If thats what you've really done, you just made internet history, congratulations!

It's ridiculous on Sony's part asking for £65 to repair a £69 camera. On that part the customer service is ridiculous, Sony Customer Service, not Argos.

Offering to send it back for £25 to Sony, Ridiculous also and that again was customer service, This time Argos, Im pretty sure it could be sent back recorded and fully insured for much less.

Adding both together, £65 + £25 = £90 total to repair a £69 camera. A joint venture of ridiculousness

You are not paying for the return postage - well you are, but you are also paying for the time it took a professional to diagnose exactly what was wrong with the camera, and work out how much to fix it. They dont just look it and go 'new screen' - it'll be dismantled to see what else is damaged so that the repair cost can be accurately estimated.
 
Sony and Argos aren't exactly reputable companies so I would not expect a cheap repair in any circumstances, usually with cheap items though the repairman's time is going to cost more than the device.

It isn't about camera repairs, the thread is about Customer Service or can't you read?
At no time did I think that Sony or Argos gave me ridiculous Customer Service which I have said over and over.

The thread title is 'Are you having a laugh?'

In the OP I typed -

I don't blame ARGOS for this but surely Sony must have a brain in their heads to ever think that somebody would pay it - or would some people?

I don't blame any of them but I laughed at Sony for thinking somebody would pay £5 less for a repaired camera.

I then wanted to keep the thread going about Customer Service.
