I saw this on local internet newssite, 999 kilos due to lots of carbon fibre, V10 engine, 350kmh, 2.5 seconds to 60mph

yeah right

No way in hell they are going to get a V10 supercar under 1000 kilos.

For Reference, the Pagani Zonda F with full carbon bodywork is still 1230 kilos.

A Zonda R can't even get below 1000kg as it weighs 1070kg but that has a V12 so I guess it is possible if Lamborgini leave out all the extra stuff like interior and sound dampening

Zonda R is a race car so doesnt have to meet any EU crash legislation / pedestrian safety etc..

Thats a biggie. In a race car you can just have a safety cell and some carbon fibre bodywork, nothing else.

Just checked and the newest one is 876kg. so not quite as bad as i thought it was.

The first teaser pic is the bit at the base of the windscreen with the 2 red V shapes. The rest were inside or round the back.
