Hi there,

Do any of the H55 motherboards support raid? I was tempted to go with either an ITX or uATX motherboard based on the H55 chipset, but from what I can see none of them support raid?

If anyone knows of any that do support raid please let me know, otherwise its back to the drawing board and either to i7 or to AMD

Thank you

sorry havnt gone an looked at all the boards but if they have the intel ich10r chip (IIRC i think thats what its called ends in 10r) then they can do raid.

Looking at the specifications on OCUK this does RAID:-

Gigabyte GA-H55M-USB3 Intel H55

But it's Micro ATX and Gigabyte's website doesn't mention RAID so I'm not sure if OCUK are wrong?

i thought it was only H57 that did raid. Not too sure about this though

Yep one of the main(ish) differences between the chipsets... H55 (No RAID) - H57 (RAID)

I just had a quick look @ the spec on the OcUK site & it rekons that board has 14 SATA connections in total!!!:confused:

I just had a peek @ the gigabyte site & it says that it has a separate "Gigabyte SATA Controller" which has 2 SATA channels that support RAID 0, 1 or JBOD.
So if you want 2 channel RAID that board should be OK :-)

There is an Intel H57 mini ITX mobo... have a look at the Intel DH57JG
