I have been heaving and hawing over what i want from my first build, and this is what i've come up with: I just want to see what the more experience rig builders think of these components, and/or if something is blatantly obviously not going to work, please feel free to point it out

What you planning on using it for?
If its gaming then you dont need 12 gig of RAM, also 2000MHz is a bit OTT, Id just get 1600, this stuff with low latency is good choice
Not sure why youre getting different types of HDDs? youve got your SSD for boot, beyond that, decide if you want quiet in which case go for the Ecogreens, or fast in which case the F3s, or even better get a couple of these to take advantage of 6Gb/s transfer rate
Rest looks good

IMHO looks good. Well thought out, nothing in there looks out of place or wasteful of budget.

That's a way bigger PSU than you need, but I assume you might be considering future sli?

I'm not sure what your use is - 12GB ram is more than you need if it's just gaming.

Not sure I understand your storage solution, but guess you've got some kind of scheme going on. Is it SSD for OS and most imptant games/apps, a fast HDD RAID array with the two 1TB F3s for other games/apps, then 2TB of 'green' for storage?

Good luck :)

Programming and high memory usage programs, so you reckon 1600hz memory instead?

The hdd's are a case of.. 2 spinpoints in raid 0, 1 just stand alone, and then the 2tb as a backup/storage drive.

So the rest looks like it's going to come together alright?

VS is definetly on my horizon, i've just started my CS course and i need to start hitting all my old languages again.

Yeah at some point when i can afford my second gtx480 i will SLI the machine. I could always buy a second SSD at some point also, slightly down the line, for now i think the 64gb will do for now.

So besides that, this build seems compatible with eachother?

Also: Does the ArctiClean Thermal Material Remover and Surface Purifier - 60ml Kit give me everything i need to clean the cpu and heatsink before applying the thermal paste?

I assume it'll be the second bottle for that?
