The cat in a bin incident didn't disrupt the commute for thousands upon thousands of people.

Hes just being a selfish attention seeker. If he really wanted to kill himself he'd either just jump or find another way to do it. Its not like there is a shortage of methods..

I don't think that's the point behind his actions, he's probably doing it for the most attention he can possibly get, so a quiet are wouldn't work for what he was trying to achieve.

Quite place out of the way = genuine.

In a public place in front of loads of people = drama queen attention seeking.
 
My mate was quite happy about this yesterday as it closed off the area around his work and gave him a nice quiet evening.
