Note: Mods/admin this is not a dig at the ocuk shop and I am in fact quite a happy customer but I found this bizarre/funny but if you think it's not okay then please delete (but don't ban me!)

I ordered some watercooling fittings I was short of on Monday for my new build as follows

1 x SLI connection tube
2 x G1/4 extensions
2 x G1/4 revoling extensions
2 x 90degree compression fittings.

On checking on Tuesday it was still printed in the warehouse so I rang up, the conversation went as follows:

Me:Hello, can you check order number xxxxxxxx for me as it's still not shipped
Them: Yep. I can see the problem straight away. It's those two G1/4 revolving extensions. Do you realise how small they are and how big our warehouse is? They'll probably never be able to find them.
Me: Can you drop them from the order please?
Them: Yes, no problem, you'll have the rest of your order tomorrow.

And I did indeed get my order.

Now, bear in mind the the non revolving extensions are the same size, why did these two hold up my order? And don't ocuk have a stock system?

I can just imagine everything scattered ramdomly over all the shelves and for every order some poor person walks up and down the ailes trying to find them.

Are you sure he wasn't joking? I'm sure a company as big as ocuk would be able to keep track of it's products :p

A little unclear what the actual problem was... whether they had gone unexpectedly missing or weren't properly binned in the warehouse.

I really do hope he was joking but it got me my order so there was a problem with them. They had probably gone missing but it's still an odd thing to say though, even joking.

If that's the case then it's highly unprofessional for a warehouse!

I'd suspect the person on the phone was joking, but if removing them from your order got it sorted then it's reality not a joke!

I called to order my Gx660 yesterday and I had one of the most helpful and respectful sales guys id ever had on the other end of the line.

No shop talk. ;)

Hahaha.

See, this forum and its customers should have them on their toes at all times!

It can't be that large, its a double industrial unit or something. There were photos a while back, its big, but nothing like massive etailers. Unless they have offsite storage. The largest retailer in Edinbugh keeps it all in shipping containers!

Oh he was very polite, respectful and helpful (I got my order after all) and tbh those fittings were only there just in case I needed them but wasn't sure I would use them.

From when I've been in it sure does look like a very large warehouse.

Rather talk to someone with a little sense of humor than those read from script liars that just want you off the phone at most places these days.
