no competitors at all, not just core business products. Simple.

Edit: Checked the link, sorry apparently the rule has changed AGAIN in the 5 mins since I last read about it. Perhaps OcUK could set an RSS feed for this rule so we can all keep up to date with it?

* They do not offer console hardware or computer components as part of their 'core' business (this includes some high street games retailers).
* You do not link
* Companies such as (but not limited to) Tesco, Blockbuster ,CEX , ShopTo and Argos are all fine to mention as long as you are not linking to computer components, console hardware or other OcUK 'core' business (if there's a range of products on the OcUK website, its safe to assume this is 'core' business). Amazon and Play are also allowed within this as we judged their core business does not include console hardware or computer components.

Mods: Everytime you try to clarify the rule you end up wording it in a very confusing manner!!!

First you say we can mention companies that do not have console hardware or computer components as part of their 'core' business followed by a list of such companies.
Then you say we cannot mention things they sell that are OcUK 'core' business (if there's a range of products on the OcUK website, its safe to assume this is 'core' business)

There IS a range of products called Games on Overclockers so can we mention them or not??

Simple Question: Can we state (not link) when one of the above mentioned stores have a Game based bargain?

i.e. if a supermarket is selling fifa for a fiver tomorrow?

Yes, maybe I am misreading the rules but it implies you can mention listed stores but then says you can't to refer to a core OcUk range, which Games are (by their definition, not mine!).

I understand what they mean by 'core' i.e. computer components as this is OCUK's underlying business, the small selection of games that they offer would not be considered thier 'core' business

In simple terms Tesco's 'core' business is food products whereas thier electrical side is not, this is considered a branch of thier business.

I think though that it is fair that we do not try and highlite deals of games that OCUK sell.

The question I was asking was is this allowed http://www.tescoentertainment.com/store/games/ps3-medal-of-honor-limited-edition/8:709537/ (puerly as an example)
or do I have to type 'Medal of honor is £38.70 on Tesco's website'
as both ways I have put it lead to exactly the same thing.

Ahh but games etc in said supermarket are part of ocuk's core business, so can't be mentioned. lol

By all means, you can say that you bought such and such game from wherever, however it would be appreciated if you did not directly link to the site with said item, regardless if it's cheaper than OcUK.

It's safe to say mentioning = fine. Linking = no-no.

In fact, I'll open the sticky threads for the time being so if anyone has any questions then please post them in there, although please avoid posting pointless garbage.
