I'm just wondering whether any Android users here might be able to give me a few pointers on getting my Galaxy S fixed, please? I've had it about a month and it's been pretty buggy since day one. It's suffers from various lags and hangs a lot or crashes when apps are opening. It is usable, but having seen my brother in law's working at blistering speed, I'm convinced mine has a software fault.
I'm running firmware version 2.1-update1, kernel 2.6.29-umts_scm@S1-BUILD05 #2 and build number ECLAIR.I9000XXJM1.
I've tried updating via Kies (what a pain in the posterior - there's a bug in Kies which caused me some big issues fixing it) but it says I'm already on the latest firmware.
Presumably, this means that I need to wait until Froyo is released, unless I go with an unofficial build, which I'm kind of loathe to do...
Any pointers much appreciated.
