MP3 playback on my dead grans car.

MP3 playback on my car stereo

Hey guys just got given a daewoo matiz that was my grans.

Its got a cheap little pop off kenwood cd faceplate. What I want is the cheapest way to just plug my ipod shuffle in. Is there anything I can use to do this? Do you get cheap faceplate with a 3.5mm line in on the front? what are the options?

Still, did you have to throw in the 'dead gran' bit to excuse the fact it's a Daewoo Matiz? Genuinely curious. Seems a strange way to introduce the thread is all.

Forget a stereo, shoe horn a turbo busa engine into it. All the music you'll ever need. Plus, the screaming won't help as you hurtle towards your korean coffined doom.

I feel bad for some cars. There is nothing wrong with a Daewoo Matiz, I bet it has great mileage, lovely colours, head turning looks. What man wouldn't want such a motor to entice car park girls?

this is a great idea. (i think written off busa's down the scrap yard can be had for cheap if the engine is in good nick)

i saw a mini the other week with two busa engines in it. sounded sweet as. went like **** off a shovel too.

There's a MK1 golf on youtube with one in it. Plenty of smart cars too. Also, REV IT PHIL!

Not a Busa engine, got an R1.

Thanks, She pasted away at a party at a very old age while having some of her favourite wine after coming back from a round the world trip (she spend the majority of her time travelling for the last 20 years). Sat down for a sleep and just passed away. Had an amazing life so no sadness from me...thus the blunt thread title.

No you can't just buy a faceplate that has a line in socket, you need a new head unit or check the back of the unit in there now for RCA connections for line in!

A cheapass HU costs £50~ anyway and will suffice (and look the part) in a Daewoo.

TBH mate fair play to you. That's not only the best way to go about things, it's also respectful to the way it sounds your gran lived her life. Like a donkey on the egde.

She sounds like quite a gal. RIP.
