He amuses me on my breaks! :P

edit - or should that be brakes, seeing as this is the motors forum, lol.

Hmm Fox, what can I say, well ...pompous ass maybe :p

In all seriousness though I've always liked Fox myself, first the forum name that posted about BMW's a lot and then the actual guy I first met at a motors meet and we had a chat about Geforce 6800's when they were brand new (Fox reminded me of this at the last meet actually) ...I just can't believe it was 6 years ago.

I've only found myself clashing with Fox a few times over the years, I generally find myself in agreement. I think we have a very similar sense of humour and outlook on the whole, hence why I think we typically get along.

I find Fox's clarity and forthrightness refreshing and I'm a huge advocate of 'details' myself, Fox is a man that knows detail and I like that. In and world where more and more people seem happy to let the details slide and bodge stuff or do a half job, Fox, like me, thinks otherwise ...it's actually really nice to read this from a real person from time to time, because it helps vindicate my own thoughts on it somewhat, in my head at least ...i.e. it's not 'just' me being anal about something, it really is all wrong, or crap or not right somehow.

Congratulations on the somewhat dubious achievement of 100k posts Fox, I'm not sure how you managed it though, you don't seem to post enough for that.

There's a lot of Foxy love from me. Opinions are sometimes presented in too blunt a manner for my liking, but most of the time the people being clashed with deserve it. I personally find him from his posts on here an incredibly bright individual who has a very logical way of thinking.

Also Fox provides me with my most amusing time wasting game on the interweb. I drop the size of my browser down from full screen and when reading a thread move the usernames off the left hand side of the screen so I can't see them. I then scroll down and try and find Fox's first post just from the posting style. I nearly always pick the right one :)

Does this guy need his ego massaged any more? Seriously? Sure he says a lot of good things, but he is incable of saying anything without belittling or being condescending....if thats the kind of guy you lot like then remind me never to meet you in real life :p

You havent got to like the bloke just absorb what he says if it answers a question.

Better a bit blunt than a back slapping circle jerk that are most single make forums.

Re-read my post carefully :D

He's lost it, he admitted he prefered an Alfa to a Mondeo today.

Someone has clearly hacked his account.

Didn't get on with him at first but it's just a case of having to understand him, he'll be blunt so just take it all as a bit of friendly banter.

I've been lurking on these forums for a fair while but only really noticed him over the last 12mths or so. Generally ignoring his first 2-4 posts gets you to where he starts posting useful info rather than, what seems imho, like an uncontrolled (tourettes anyone?) gob in the face opener. If you survive that then he has his uses ;)

Worst of all he reminds me of me in my late teens when I had the nickname "Book" due to my intimate knowledge of cars. I was a trainee mechanic at the time and read everything I could lay my hands on regarding cars so the "crew" I used to hang with in our mk1/2 escorts/mk3/4 cortinas/morris minors/minis etc would use me as their walking motoring encyclopedia.
If we'd had t'internet in those days I'd now be a fossilised version of Fox (minus the bmw badges tattooed on the inside of his eyelids) as I always found it amazing how little people knew about their own cars so I do see where his "omgz ur sooo dim" habit of posting comes from :p

I'm not sure congratulations on 100k of posts is a good thing but just in case, congrats young man :)

This attitude frustrates me often, but on the whole this is what gives him his character.

A bit like a fine wine, it takes the right kind of person to appreciate :)
