<3

for someone as switched on as the man himself he is quite easy to wind up though! :D

i really wish his 'following' would get their own opinions however, you know who you are :p

only one foxy.

Its quite an achievement but I figured he was a student for some of the years so that would explain the number of posts and encyclopaedic knowledge of all things BMW.

Congrats?

Without the guy the motors elite club only private forum probably would never of been created, and the elite crew posting here make motors what it is.

Corrected

eh ?

not sure i get the joke there

Is this some sort of potential scandal or something?

No I did not buy any posts. Sadly yes I have made that many since October. It's only about what, an hour a day of posting, I'm sure some people watch an hour a day of TV ;)

no, just i'm sure i remember you saying at some point you gave money to charity in one of these post count auctions thats all. As lopez has said, theres nothing wrong in raising money for charity :)

Sometimes I really want to slap him and tell him to get real and grow up. However, this is the exception to the rule as in general he gives good advice - but does tunnel vision himself on the most irrelevant details at times!

Fox is cool - and motors wouldn't be the same without him. There's nothing hateful about him, he's stubborn, speaks his mind and isn't scared of a fight - he's basically a skinny younger version of me - but with cars instead of travel/gym/diet stuff! :D

In essence... I <3 Foxy! xxx :D

PS I've had 42k posts reset because I wanted to, so still waaaaay behind Fox! :(

This is true, I was a student until just over a year ago which meant I had far more free time than I really ought to :p

I didn't, honest :p

You say that as if it's a bad thing?

The Motors forum has an AWFUL reputation amongst many OcUK forums users.

Because they don't understand it and (for entirely logical reasons) don't stick around long enough to understand it. It's very much an aquired taste.

There are any number of motoring forums where you can turn up, ask a question about buying a diesel Citroen to do 5k a year, and simply receive rational information on trim levels, answering your exact question, and nothing more.

Contributing to them is similar to watching paint dry.

All the more intresting forums have a similar thing - try asking a question not involving purchasing a Mazda MX5 in Pistonheads and see how long it takes to become an MX5 love fest :D Better still ask them if its true that the 335d is a quick car and you get 20 pages.

Quite how people manage these post counts though amazes me. I haven't even managed 7k posts yet in 7 years and 8 months (then again I very rarely post in general discussion). Although I did have an account before this one, I can't even remember the username I used though tbh, I had a couple of hundred posts on that though iirc.

Did something happen in 2002, some sort of data loss so that the oldest accounts are no older than October 2002 by chance? ...because I could have sworn my first OcUK account would have been older than that, my Hard|OCP one is now 9.7 years old and my OcUK one wouldn't have been too far behind if my memory serves ...which it very well may not.
