Best tattoo artists in the North East?

No "tattoos will ruin you body, career and life!" comments please. I have a couple of tattoos, and have wanted more for years now. I am now seriously thinking about getting my back end in gear and finish getting them designed (Have rough ideas in my head that I have refined over the years) and get them done. But does anyone know of the best tattoo artists in the North East (ideally Newcastle area)? Will be looking at a 3/4 sleeve.

Only one I've heard of up there is Hype, people I know have been there. Never had one done myself though.

Pins & Needles, Hype.

Some of the work done by the guy at Pins & Needles is quite impressive, More of the 'Gothic' scene though.

Draconian are meant to be pretty good. They are in the north east of the UK. In Aberdeen.

My own design. A bit tribally, but based on Norwegian Rosemaling with a 'nature' theme. Also Si Scott design influenced. Considering having a reverse tattoo (Not quite sure if that is what it's called) by having the main design without ink, and the rest being quite ornate and delicate to mark the edges of the main design.

good luck with the tatt, just please dont incorporate tribal into it, only a small majority can pull it off, so not even worth the risk..

I went to Hype for mine, good service. Viking in Jarrow are supposed to be ok as well, same with Northside Tattoo's in Whitley Bay.

I rate them pretty poorly, much better studios in Elgin than Aberdeen.

Lol, I think Aberdeen or Elgin are both a bit far away. I'm actually going up to Elgin in a month or so, but seeing as the tat I want would be pretty big and would require multiple sessions I think travelling to Elgin each time would be both expensive and tiring.
