I have a question to ask, is the second bottle literally an equivelant to using the alchohol to clean the surface before applying the TIM?

And in that case, can 2 be used without using 1, if it's a fresh/clean build?

Hopefulyl someone can let me know, so i know wether i need to get some of the alchohol stuff or not before my kit arrives.

Go into a chemist and get some isopropyl alcohol, the arctic cleaning stuff is overpriced nonsense, i use cd cleaning fluid that contains IPA, cheap as chips, theese fancy cleaners are a rip off.

Well said setter, I work at a hospital and whenever I want to clean my CPU i get some
stuff from work, that is used to clean wounds and stuff. As setter said, well over priced.

Okay it may be overpriced.... but considering i've already got it on order and on its way... does it do the job, or must i go and buy ispropyl alchohol?

Thanks setter ;) Saves me going out and sourcing the alchohol, which looks to me to be more expensive than what the arcticlean cost me

gotta love the lemony smell!

I used to use isopropyl alcohol, I too worked in a hospital laboratory which has its side benefits, when I left that job I bought some of this cleaner and yes it has been just as good at removing gunk from processors!

could have sworn it was an orangey smell?
basically yes, bottle 2 IS IPA, bottle one is some sort of citrus oil based degreaser, and they work very nicely, all my friends take the mick cos whenever I remount a cooler I spend a bit more time than strictly needed polishing the CPU up to a nice shine, not cos i need to, just OCD
