Case for lots of drives

Are you looking for a midi of full tower case? im guessing most full towers will hold 8 drives.

As for a midi the Fractal Design R2/3 holds 8 drives.

fractual R3 is really a top choice, ive got the R2 its well priced and can easily slide in 8 hdds.

if you need you can still install 2 extra drives on the top also.. but then u may need one for the dvdwriter.

Its a shame no ones really bothered to make a decent midi size case that can support 10+ hdds/

The Lian Li A70F holds 10 I believe and is cheap by Lian LI standards
It'll accomodate 11 3.5" hdd's in the standard 3.5" bays, 7 in the front and 3 in the top rear bay, also the botom 5.25 bay has a caddy for installing a 3.5" drive.

Depends if you think of Antec as quality? The Antec VSK2450 has 10 drive bays in total and is only £74 including an Antec 450w psu.

yeah saw this case also

- 6 x internal 3.5" bay
- 3 x external 5.25" bay
- 1 x external 3.5" bay

could grab bay converters for extra drive but imo I was like meh and just got the fractual, just simpler with 8x 3.5 hdds and then u got 2 bays on top if u need more.

So far the Lian li with 11 hdds and more space on top is the only case that really caters for the hdd freaks :)

Only really dropped the Antec in 'cos the peep gave no idea of a budget or full usage. The Antec is terrific value and given that it has a decent 450w psu ideal if you're not running a big gpu. (Typical me...:D.....always trying to grab best value for money....;)
