New fibre exchange list, now including FTTP!

Strange. My exchange hasn't been on any of the lists posted, but it says I can order BT Infinity on BT's website. The cabinet was installed awhile ago, but Samknows doesn't say the exchange is enabled either.

Dec 2011 for me...

just hope by then other operators have the ability to offer it as i dont care how fast i get ( currently synced at 18meg ) im not going with BT

Looks like I'm moving to the next town over. Taunton - The only town in the whole of Somerset to be getting Fibre ¬_¬

Nothing for me. In fact the only place in my county that is being enabled is somewhere that has Virgin cable in it anyway!

Makes me a sad panda

If Taunton gets it 2011 then I would say Bridgwater probably around 2016. Makes sence if you compare commerce and wealth of Taunton to rest of the county so it should get priority.

I am thinking my next place possibly Bristol.

Lucky Bugger :(
I am only about 8 miles away on the llanwern exchange, stone age speeds of up to 2 meg...if I am lucky
Off topic--I went to secondary school there in the 70`s lol :D

Relay don't get BT sometimes. I live in Keighley west Yorkshire, Shipley to the east has had FTTP for about a year now. Our exchange of similar size and load there's still no date, YET two puny village ones just ones just south of me (about 3 miles away) are getting the upgrade next year. There seems there method of upgrading is blind folded dart throwing at a map.

Looks like it be 2 or 3 years till I can shift away from 2-4mb broadband on a land line
