Too early

I went in to the city centre on Friday night and what do I see? A bunch of idiots putting TWO christmas trees up. I think it's bad enough when they start it in November, but October the First, seriously? It's nearly a full 3 months until christmas day.

There's a house somewhere in Stockton that doesn't even bother taking them down.

I see Tesco have launched their Christmas campaign early again. I think the commentary was "We know it's only October, but Christmas comes early at Tesco". Basically, that's just saying "We know it's only October, but we don't give a buggar, we'll still milk it for all it's worth".

The problem with starting Christmas early like this is that actually come Christmas, everyone's pig sick of it all. The constant bombardment of Xmas adverts, decorations, shops selling nowt but tat etc. I've noticed this has only really happened over the past 10 years or so. It never used to be like this.

This isn't something new. Why are there always threads and comments like this every September/October time?

Some people just haven't noticed it like this before, and it really does seem like it's getting earlier every year.

Why all the hate?

I know its a little early and all, but is it going to change your life because someone down the road put up some lights for christmas?

Get a grip people and stop complaining about everything you see!
