4090 on 850w = BOOM
I have a 2407wfp from dell and i'm worried that if i swap it for a 23.6" asus 3d monitor i'll lose picture quality. The colours on this monitor seem better than any i've seen and i don't want to accept less clarity.

also can i run normal games at 120hz in 2d on the asus?

You can run games in 2D at 120Hz yeah. Not sure if a single GTX480 is up to the latest games with 3D on though. As for the monitor, I'd expect you'd lose quality yeah, colour vibrancy will be the most notable I think. When I got a Dell 2407, the colour quality blew me away, every other monitor looked washed out in comparison, and now I'm on 2408s, the colour's even better, so I'd imagine a 120Hz monitor would look quite poor in the colour department.

Waste of time IMO - I pretty much guarantee you'll buy the kit, go wow, a week or 2 later discard it and carry on playing games in regular 2D. Only reason I got a samsung 2233rz was for the 120Hz and quick response times which are great for gaming.

you post the same thing in every single 3D thread, let him make up his own mind? many of us are highly impressed with it and are still using it all the time a year or so after buying it

I thought Avatar as a movie was crap, I thought the 3d on IMAX as I watched it was utterly breathtaking. I see so many people saying "it's been around for years", "there's no content" and "it's just a gimick" and that may well be the case but to me Avatar showed that when done well to me at least its fabulous!

ye totlay agree, avatar blew me away thats why im buying myself a samsung 40inch 3d lcd this week

Its called an opinion ;) there are some people who continue using them sure but seems to be the minority.

Spending out on a new monitor and 3D vision kit for something hes not even sure he will like seems silly.

to me it just seems like you're trolling every 3D thread then putting "IMO" and using that to hide behind. how do you know that only the minority continue to use it?? have you got a single sliver of evidence that backs that statement up

Well every time I see a thread about 3D Vision on these and several other forums its always the same story - 1-2 people who love it and claim to use it frequently and the vast majority either saying they hated it/didn't get on with it or only used it once/infrequently.

Other than that I'm only giving an opinion based on my own experience, everyone whos used my 3D Vision kit (and its had quite a lot of interest) has pretty much said the same thing.

there's no way i'm buying into something that is worse colour quality than what i've got. I like the idea of 3d tho and will wait patiently for a good quality 3d monitor maybe around £450-£600ish.
