Confused about other people

That's a good idea, I'll try talking to them individually, thanks :)

I did that to one person, and initially he was very annoyed and laughed in my face, and whilst he hasn't stopped completely, he rarely ever says anything now.
 
I keep telling myself that University is the light at the end of the tunnel, I suppose it's helping to keep me calm :)

One boy did apologise to me today for 'ocassionally taking it too far'
I suppose that's a result in itself :cool:

I know thatt in a few years, I'll look back and realise that it just didn't matter at all. However, being realistic, at this point it does matter. In the end, I'm at school to get some grades and extra curricular activities under my belt, so using that logic I suppose it doesn't matter.
But it would be nice to enjoy my time here too.
 
Mate this sounds a bit like me, I had to put up with the racist jokes and "banter"

I was at a stage where you are right now, personally I felt really confused and it seemed like I was going nowhere.

Best to just join in with the racist jokes, I go to a school where out of 150 odd students there are 3 or 4 non-white people, and there are some racist people but you ignore the fact that they are racist.

Since you want to do medicine, stuff them and think like this "One day you will be coming to me sunny boy" if you become a Doctor.

Anyway good luck, and don't screw up year 12 like I did. I am paying the price now.:(

You're right, just like most of the other people in this thread. I should just ignore them. It really doesn't matter. They all have good grades as well, but I don't feel that presently they have a good enough attitude or personality to really succeed in the professional world.
 
grow some balls and then empty them on their mothers faces ?

that will let them know that you mean business. You might want to take their sisters up the wrong 'un also, becasue then they will know you are not to be trifled with
 
Okay, I sort of took some of OcUK's advice today, and imo it has not ended well.

This morning one kid was whipping me with a towel, and so I turned round and started to walk towards him, but he ran off. He's a year younger.

I saw him later on, he was walking up the stairs and I was walking down them. I gave him a punch, nothing hard, and said "don't whip me with a towel". He punched me back, very slightly harder. He was higher than me on the stairs and he kicked me in the head. It didn't hurt but I pretended that it did, so I started going semi crazy, punching him quite hard. But as I'm not that big it probably wouldn't have hurt him so much. Then I thought to myself "WTF am I doing" and just stopped. I kept telling him not to be such a dick. He told me to keep walking down the stairs, or he would 'hurt' me and push me down the stairs. I told him to apologise, and he said only if I apologise. I didn't at first, but then I did and so did he.

Clearly he walked away the winner :(

Honestly, I just don't have it in me to seriously harm anyone else, and because of my size I couldn't anyway.

See im not seeing the logic in that lot.

Why didnt you larap the ***** when he was whipping you with the towel instead of waiting to be disadvantaged below him on the stairs.

And whats all this apologising ******? What on earth have you got to be sorry for?
 
Doesn't sound like a loss to me, he towel whipped you, you puched him, he kicked you and you let loose a flurry. You've let him know that you aren't going to take any crap and you apologised like men. You stood up for yourself but managed to resolve the problem amicably. It's the first steps to sticking up for yourself, admittedly it didn't go all in your favour but it's a step forward for your confidence.

Well, I couldn't get him, as there were around 20 people in this narrow hallway so I couldn't really get to him.

He told me that he didn't mean to kick me in the head, and it was pretty obvious from the way things went down that he hadn't meant for the kick to be at my head
 
I was bullied at school and It was very unlike me to stand up for myself in the way that I did. Kick or punch someone in the happy sacks and I dont care how much bigger they are than you they will curl up and think they are dying.

The problem I had was that when I finally stood up for myself I went to town on the guy, he was curled up crying fell to the ground and I stamped on his nuts! Luckily for him he was cupping his nuts with his hands. I got into to trouble for that but it was worth it after that no one touched me.

Another few scrapes and the tide will turn it always does with bullies.

Stop apologising though, these people take kindness for weakness.

But our school's ridiculously strict on stuff like that. I'd be suspended and that would really damage my chances of getting into medical school. However, I suppose I do have a clean track record. My only two school punishments are for being late to lessons, and that was 3 years ago.

Once you explain you have put up with years of racial bullying, what they going to say, i doubt you'd even get suspended.
 
Hmm I suppose that is a worry. I was caught in fights twice at school. Once I got off by both of us saying we were only messing around. The headmaster caught us during a headlock so was plausible. :p Was second year I think.

The other time was in the science lab and I got a right earful.
