Any interest in a Call of Duty Black Ops Server?

Just finding out if there's much point in me setting one up. If not a lot of people are going to play from here I won't buy it. Likewise if one of the local clans (SAS/TFU) are setting up a few servers there's no point in me doing it.

Was thinking about setting up a Ranked server with Gameservers (meaning donations can be paid to the usual place, see sig).

Let me know, obviosuly if this thread dies I'll know my answer. :)
 
think with how many will buy it it will be worth it but with how cheap servers are most will just rent there own.

forget the ragers 99 percent will be playing it come november ;)

Sadly if everyone buys their own server then those there are already won't be popular enough.

I'm happy to give out admin to people who are interested. Using Defarg's (or goon's) mumble server could be good as well.

Post in here if you would be interested in using it and/or donating and I'll look into setting it up. :)
 
I think my clan has got 4 on pre-order but not sure what's going on now, there's some technical difficulties going on at present. Worst comes to the worst I might chip in with someone for a server.
 
Have always been a big fan of COD games, but MW2 was rubbish!

Yes I said rubbish! Compared to COD4, MW2 did every thing wrong.

In march when BFBC2 came out, I finally got a successor to COD4.

I like fps which promote team play, and I guess so far BFBC2 is the closest thing Iv played.

Shame with that, but its a blight of all fps is the campers and those that just do not chip in with objectives!

Especially when for instance an enemy has planted a bomb, the camper could eaily run over and defuse it, but just sits there are and snipes, that really cheeses me off!!! :mad:


This winter will be interesting. Black ops vs MOH and Vietnam. If MOH plays anything like BFBC2, Il prpbably get that (and vietnam....) Black ops looks too much like MW2 for my liking. I think we are going to start seeing a fundamental shift with DICE being the more successfull studio rather than Activision.

Also Treyarch arent a patch on Infinity ward and Infinity ward have lost big dev's who have set up their own rival studio: respawn entertainment.

It's gona be interesting!

Black Ops will come out on top easily IMO

while we pc gamers prefer BFBC2 the console gamers will make sure CoD is more successful than anything DICE can come up with
 
black ops will sell ten to one of any of the other games ;)

also the servers are only like 10 quid a month to rent (bfbc2 are like 30-35 same as medal of honor) this will be another reason why it will be a monster.

this is why most clans will go with cod instead of medal of honor or bfbc2 vn.

I'l defo give you admin on ours when we it comes out mate. We will 100% be getting a server or 2.

Yeah thats fine, tbh Tefal and defrag have been using our mumble lately even the Don Thudycat made an appearance yesterday (nice guy) However any1 who comes in and starts spamming the mic, being a gob***** will get kicked we've give admin to our full members and told them any1 who is being a utter **** will get a straight 24 hour ban followed by a perm if it happends again ;)

Rifle man made fapping and sucking noises for ages on mumble last night :eek::(

I still haven;t been able to get to sleep :(

where can you get the 10 quid servers if it aint' against the rules to say... ;-)

seems like my old FPS friends are going to but COD 1027 when it comes out.

From the company that's the only one going to be hosting the servers? :p

CoD will ultimately beat MoH and BC2 'cos of the pure competitive gameplay that it brings.
