Modded bios for HiS 5850 needed please =]

Hi there.

Just wondering, would anybody be able to provide me with a modified bios for the HiS 5850 that:

A-Sets the start-up clock at 785/1200
B-Allows voltage tweaking.

I'm not worried about bricking the card, as I have a spare asus 5850 (that already has voltage tweak :D), I just need to be able to overclock this much cooler card to the same levels :rolleyes:.

I'd be interested in this too, though i'm running the Turbo version of this card with upped clocks by default. I can only overclock mine to 800/1175 with MSi afterburner but i'm sure I could squeeze more out of it.

800/1200 wasn't quite stable, that's why I'd love to be able to unlock voltage. Two 5850's at 950/1200 omnomnom :rolleyes:
 
Do the newer 5850's not support voltage adjustments without a bios update? My brother has a 5850 saphire that can be set up to something like 1.2volts?
 
Do either of those definitely work for the iCooler version?

And just realised how much of a complete newb I am, how do you flash GFX bioses again, read it somewhere but ashamed to say I've forgotten :rolleyes:

Think I've got it sorted, winflashed 1.15v, 800 core and 1200 mem.
Furmark stable :D
Result!
Now to fit the other gfx card and overclock it... job for Tuesday methinks.
And all i need to complement that is an OCZ big.... No! Must not spend student loan on an SSD!
 
WTF? the flash didn't work, opened afterburner still got 775/1125 =[
any ideas?
And yeah buchtis, it was pretty easy. Just trying to figure out why the custom clocks aren't working. The voltage is though, shall play around in AMD GPU clock tool to sort this out.

ATiWinFlash isn't working for me. Extracted and started to run it, all it does is run the in the background, the actual programme doesn't work for me :(
 
Nope. Don't think it's going to work on these cards unfortunately, seems like CCC was displaying me the wrong clocks.
Voltage on AMD crap tool dropped back to stock :rolleyes:.
Shall try 800/1200 again, and go from there.
 
Might say **** it them. Would like the card to produce more oomph but I doubt i'd get big gains anyway, the card is OC'd out of the box already. Could another HiS Turbo user confirm this please?

Talking about SSD, I hear the hybrid hdd are better....

Cheaper than ssd, have the same fast read speeds, but have faster write speeds due to being basedon the old plater style disks!

Well I'm using the iCooler V, and it doesn't seem to work. Speeds in afterburner are being shown as 800/1200, but don't change from the underclocked speed when running furmark. The voltage shown in GPU-Z also doesn't change. That's the last time I buy a non-reference card :rolleyes:
