After reading about many horror stories about this site on here i was wondering if i am being overly cautious or if i am indeed being taken for a hustle.
I sold my phone on ebay the other day (this is the first time i've ever sold anything online) and didnt get around to accepting the paypal payment today. Anyways i checked my emails last night and the person who won the auction emailed me saying he might be around my area with his girlfriend and if he could pick it up.
Normally i'd be fine with this if he was paying cash but i've already accepted the paypal payment (although it will take 3 days to go into my bank) am i right in assuming that if he just collects it from my house he can just file a claim on ebay that he never recieved the item?
I planned on sending it via signing for delivery. Would i be right in sticking with this?
also could anyone recommend what would be the cheapest way to pad and protect the item if i do end u sending it to his address. I don't want a repeat performance of that i am shop guy
Thanks guys.
