International terrorism highly likely!!

Modern Thermonuclear weapons dont give off much radiation tho do they?
Also Hiroshima is doing ok and that was only 50 odd years ago.

Right....
Let me respond to you.
If you did wish to conduct warfare in a style of removing population whilst causing the least destruction to infrastructure, then you might as well slip a little rule set by the war conventions.

Release some biological agents into the water supplies of the countries concerned, totally illegal, but very effective. A small lab could produce large amounts of active agents, which would be thought of as a modern plague, or cholera or some nasty crap. Time it to coincide with a natural disaster, release it under the guise of 'aid'.
They could have done this with the pakistan flooding this summer, that would have been timing, wipe out large proportions of the populus, leaing the rest of the system intact.

Not suggesting it should be done, but wacking our 30 year old nukes at a place is a bloody stupid way to try to dominate. Leaves mess behind rather than nice clean places with the humans missing.

More scaremongering nonsense, no doubt for a purpose though. Whether it's just to measure the response of the general public or maybe they are actually planning to do something themselves, again.

Generally..

(1) They have a plan/goal
(2) They create a problem
(3) They offer the solution
(4) Public accept solution thinking it was for their own benefit

...and repeat.

People need to start waking up and not swallowing everything the govn feeds them.

From a US site: "This Travel Alert expires on January 31, 2011.".
Yeah because the terrorists told us they're taking a break then.

Does anyone here actually do anything different due to these terror alerts? Do you let it impact your life at all? As a "control" tool they seem to be failing completely to control my actions.

I don't think anyone does anything different I mean what could one actually do?

It just builds suspicion and fuels hatred for some people, and this is extremely dangerous especially if it directed at the wrong group. Almost everyone is against the killing of innocent women and children, we are all human, we all have families, most people feel compassion towards their fellow human being but the only thing these sorts of attacks do imo is alienate, divide and instil fear in people. The most important thing we can do as an intelligent species is make sure we do not direct our anger towards the wrong people, and therefore do not let the real absolute godless criminals continue to perpertrate such acts and get away with it.

So far humanity as a whole is failing miserably.

Yes.
I book flights in a different pattern. Now if making a multi-journey flight, I will book all routes on the one ticket. Prior to this I would have always booked a Belfast-Heathrow flight separately, and then the Heathrow-onwards as 1 ticket. Generally if you book in advance myself and the wife could have flown Belfast-Heathrow for around 60-70pounds. To have that flight included as part of an onward journey it most reently worked out the equivalent of £300. A far difference.
The reason is cancellation policy, if for some reason we can't make all legs the airline has to sort us out now, if I had seaparte tickets If I miss a leg I could have forfitted the entire package.
Worth paying the extra given mild uncertainties related to the retarded fools who still think they'll free Ireland by planting bombs in Catholic areas of Catholic towns. (This year they've blown up Newry, Lurgan, Derry, I've yet to comprehend what is achieved by such utter retardation)

As for Muslim terrorism, can't say I do anything differently, probably just mouth more unsupported racist/religious comments at more regular intervals instead.

But it's acceptable to kill innocent men? Eh?

Far less men are innocent and far more women and children are suffering as a result, but if my statement read that it's ok to kill innocent men.. well I'll put more effort into making myself clearer in future.

I'm sorry? Please explain exactly what you mean by this.

The majority of those responsible for all the death and destruction in the world are men?

And the chances of a terrorist attack killing people responsible for all the death and destruction in the world are virtually zero, so I still don't get your whole 'far less men are innocent' thing.

Why are you looking at me? She slipped I tell you!

lol
