id say number 2

double the ram, led backlit, slightly more compact screen so a better dp on the screen and even tho its a ulv chip it will be better than the neo in the first laptop (imo)

i have an acer laptop(aspire 7540) its quite sturdy, ive banged(hit) it against tables and doors a few times when im carrying it downstairs/upstairs

p.s banged doesnt really sound appropriate

I wouldnt buy any laptop that comes with a 3 months warranty, at least a year for any laptop up to £500 and 3 years for anything over this.

Laptops are just not reliable anymore, this is the same with a lot of newer technology.

I agree. Even a year's warranty (standard on most laptops these days) isn't really enough. Laptops are tricky and expensive to fix when they go wrong.
