Good Day!

I bought a OcUK primo edge in Nov, 2008

The spec is as follows

- Intel Dual Core 2.5 LGA775 on an Asus vintage v3
- GeForce 9500 GT extreme 512
- Corsair 4 GB ram
- Seagate 500GB

I have just moved back to uni in Nottingham. There was nothing different about moving my pc. Just packed it up as i usually do.

When i set it all up on my new desk it wouldn’t run. The monitor used to flash no input signal then id boot and hey presto it would work. This time round just blackness. i checked all the connections (made sure it hadn’t popped out during the move) checked my DVI cable. I then switched to the on-board display which is what I’m currently running.

I think its died but are there any tests or things that i can do to make sure?

Was wondering what the best replacement card is for this setup as well?

Thanks

Ol

See if you can test it in another PCI-E slot or another system? If the onboard still works, then it sounds like it has died :(

arrr, i will try tomorrow. Has anyone got any bright ideas regarding a replacement? didnt really want to spend more than £50

Thanks
Ol

cainer i'm not sure, It came pre built by OcUK.

well it could be worth a phonecall to OCuk to find out, it would have come with a warranty and as most are for 2 years you may well find that you can send it back for a free replacement if the card proves to be faulty.
are you able to tell what brand of 9500gt you have? a google search of the brand should show the manufacturers warranty length

Warranty and Service

* 1 year (plus an additional 2 years upon completion of a registration form on PNY's website)

Thats direct from the PNY website.

I certainly haven't done a registration form on the website!

Could be an idea to open her up and re-seat the graphics card.

Might have came loose during transportation.
