cheers...was looking more for elvish/mage type stuff, i watched the midnight chronicles this morning...something so so bad about some of the props/acting that it was really really good. look forward to the sequel.
am currently reading terry brooks -the heritage of shannara if that guides any of you.
oh and im grabbing hold of these atm... Excalibur, Hawk the Slayer, The Raven, dark, crystal, dungeons and dragons and krull.

Far from it, it's a great adventure movie foremost and gets pretty dark in places. It's no more childish than say Hawk the Slayer or Krull

omg KRULL is possibly the worst film i ever saw as a kid, my old man bought a load of ex rental videos this being one of them. I must have watched it 50 times.
it makes me lol everytime someone mentions it.
willow is one of the better ones mentioned there, its more hollywood, great hero charcter and lots of PECKs!
dark crystal is a muppet film, but god its dark in some places and sickeningly cheesy in others.
labyrinth ? again kids film but really good. i rate it higher than dark crystal.

I'd avoid this if I was you, probably one of the worst tv series I've ever tried watching. No central storyline at all, pure Monster of the Week episodes with no end in sight, so, so boring.
