Call of Duty: Black Ops

-The co-op mode has not been revealed as of yet, zombies have not been confirmed nor denied.
-It has been confirmed that the co-op mode featured along side of combat training is the returning zombie mode

Errrr?

David Vonderhaar has confirmed there will be no killstreaks but the UAV may be on, depending on the wager match mode, the radar will light up with enemies. It's used from everything to reduce camping to showing the leader so you can chase him down.

eh?? No Killstreaks??

I'd imagine that means in Wager Matches there are no KS apart from UAV.

It means in wager matches. You only get the weapons that the particular match gives you.

Aim-Assist can be turned on/off
I'd love to see people try and quick scope with it off!

Sub-machine guns in Black Ops will feature full-maneuverability speed while running and/or aiming down sights. Example: if you have an SMG equipped, you can now check corners of rooms with your sights up as fast as you would if you were to run through the door. This can work both with and against you, but it's interesting to see this change in the franchise.
That's good. I hate having to move at a snails pace when ADS.

-David Vonderhaar confirmed that treyarch will now keep track of people that do not finish games they start, and will be punished to some extent.
I'm not to sure about that. Does it mean if you go start a game that's mega laggy you have to stay or you'll be punished? That's crap!

Halo Reach has a system like that. Quit too many times and you can't join a matchmaking game for 15 minutes.

I asked about the quitting thing on the official forum and vahn had tweeted
We have a record of everyone who doesn't finish games they start. A clear abuser (not souls with bad luck) will get smacked.
It looks like it's just for people that will quit games as soon as their k/d ratio goes negative or they are losing.

So Black Ops to feature torture: Spolier below.

Now, I could go into a lot of detail about the new level called Numbers, but I won't. I don't want to spoil any of the story for you diehard fans out there. So instead what I'll do is give you a teaser of the tone that Black Ops is trying to set. The beginning of Numbers opens with an interrogation. More accurately, it begins with a player-controlled interrogation. As you beat on your prisoner trying to pry information out of him, your character notices a glass window to his left. An on-screen prompt appears so you can interact with the panes, which I immediately assumed would allow your character to smash the prisoner's head through the glass. Not so. Instead, pressing the left trigger allows your character to punch the glass himself and remove a single shard. "Maybe he's going to cut the captured soldier ever-so-slowly", I thought. No, instead he inserts the shard into the poor *******'s mouth and proceeds to bludgeon either side of his face as the razor sharp object slices the inside of his mouth causing him to shriek in pain. It was gruesomely awesome and set the stage nicely for the rest of Black Ops' intensity.
